  • No guaranteed booking

Do *not* book your flight instantly on Kayak.com. Their position is misleading and says that your flight will be managed by Travelocity, yet in booking it on Kayak and not directly on Travelocity.com, you are not afforded any of the benefits of a Travelocity customer (namely, you cannot benefit from cost or service guarantees). Go to the travel agency site and book instantly. DO NOT BOOK ON KAYAK.COM! (As well their buyer service is yet to reply to my complaint.) http://www.theholidayhotels.com seemed a lot better to me. • Vayama

I'm an international worker from the USA, who has used Kayak for several years. I currently work and reside in Western Australia, where I spend thousands annually flying from Australia, Asia and Europe to see family in the USA. I've used Kayak loyally for my flights. Even using the skyscanner app to find dates then inputing these into kayak as their platform is more effective. Today, I was asked to reverify my credit account details through vayama your partner I suppose. Okay, a bit of a waste of my time but I do so. I'm then prompted that it will take 48 hrs to verify my... More...
  • Non-refund of cancelled airline tickets

I booked flights for myself through Kayak/Travelocity on 11th may 2013. The tickets were return Chengdu, China to Bangkok, travelling 18th May 2013. I had only 3 days in Bangkok to meet up with my boyfriend, a round-the-world cyclist. This was a very important trip for me. The tickets were cancelled on Sunday 12th May, as I had given an incorrect contact number - I had mistakenly confused two digits. I telephoned Kayak/Tavelocity on Monday 13th May 2013 - no mean feat from China - to be told that my refund had already been processed as the cancellation was made within the 24 hour rule. It... My husband also finds the brain surgery commercial very offensive. He too has had 2 recent brain surgeries and a stroke. He unfortunately lost his ability to communicate with his stroke. You should removr the commercial.

The kayak iPad app is useless. I attempted to book a flight and after the billing page, you must hit done button which takes u to a blank page which cannot be gotten off of unless you erase all your billing info! So totally useless and I had to get my laptop and go to Hotwire which actually works, and I booked flight. Why would kayak publish an app that doesn't work? If someone from kayak would like to give me an explanation for this please do, it is wrong to waste people's time.

I find your brain surgery commercial very insensitve and offensive! Having had a very competent neurosurgeon digging around in my brain and being fortunate in recovering completely I feel that making a joke of a serious problem is juvenile at best!
